Total Commander

Total Commander is a file manager that, in its 25 years of existence, has developed an extensive set of tools for working with files and folders on your PC or laptop. Since 2009, it supports the Russian language. It is intended primarily for Windows operating systems of all versions (it was created as a Windows-adapted twin of the "Dos" file manager NortonCommander). Allows you to create plugins and mods for the interface (by default - a two-panel).

Total Commander can

• Select and sort files by name, creation time and a number of other conditions;
• cut and reassemble "heavy" files;
• compare and browse files with built-in lister;
• rename groups of files and synchronize directories;
• search for files by several parameters, search for a given text inside files, archives of any format, on different disks and on the FTP-server;
• support queuing and background performance of copying, deleting and other operations with files.

Total Commander knows how to work with directories or subdirectories and with archives - support for most archivers is built in. It creates multivolume and self-extracting (16 and 32-bit) archives with a built-in packer for the ZIP format and with special utilities for popular archival formats - ZIP, RAR, ARJ, ACE. In addition, the program uses an FTP-client that supports SSL/TLS.

Operations in Total Commander - viewing, editing, copying, deleting, etc. - operations are performed using the function keys, as well as using the user-defined combinations. The program supports manipulating files with the mouse.

Total Commander menu and toolbars can be customized by the user. The program can be extended with scripts and plugins for working with archives, listserv, file system, etc.
