FastPictureViewer is a handy program designed especially for photographers to view digital photos. Unlike other viewers, FastPictureViewer uses the graphics card's resources for rendering images, which ensures high speed, even when viewing large photos.
FastPictureViewer supports most image formats, including JPEG, PNG, BMP, TIFF, GIF and JPEG-XR. It also supports many kinds of RAW images from over 460 digital camera models.
This viewer provides detailed technical information on each image and has a rating system (Adobe XMP). Moreover, it can show the coordinates of the photo's location, if geodata is available.
FastPictureViewer is easy to use and has a minimalistic interface. A large part of the window is occupied by the photo itself, other photos are displayed as a ribbon at the top of the window. When you hover your cursor over the photo, a pop-up preview appears. Although this program doesn't know how to edit photos, it allows you to view them comfortably.
In addition, FastPictureViewer allows you to manage your image files. You can copy, move and delete files in the program. There is support for batch mode.
