FolderUsage This program will help you quickly and easily find out which folder is taking up the most space on your hard drive and, in general, the size of each folder on it. In a situation where you need to free up disk space, but it is difficult/long/uncomfortable to figure out what is eating up valuable megabytes and gigabytes of space, this program will prove extremely useful. By scanning and analyzing the contents of your disk or a selected folder, the program will show you how many files and folders it contains and their total size. It will make it fast and easy for you to figure out what takes up a lot of space and what you can remove. FolderUsage is very easy to use because of its simple interface. First, you select a folder for analysis, after which the results are displayed in two panels. One panel gives you an overview of the folder/disk and the second shows a list of files/folders with their size, number of files and subfolders, and type. The program lets you sort folders by size, analyze individual branches, delete folders and files, and copy information about a folder's contents as text. The information includes folder structure, folder names, size, and number of files in them. It is also worth noting that FolderUsage has a filter. It will help sift out files based on creation/modification/use date, size, and a number of other parameters. The program does not need to be installed and can be run from any media.
