FromScratch

FromScratch is a text editor for lovers of minimalism. It is intended mainly for quick recording of various notes, lists, and other information that you need to save without unnecessary fuss. It guards everything on the fly, so it does not even have a command to save files.

It doesn't have the usual toolbars that you find in other editors or note managers. Because of this, its interface is very compact and consists only of a text box.

But the lack of panels does not mean that it does not have any functions. They are there and available through keyboard shortcuts. A complete list of combinations can be seen by pressing the "F1" key.

Here is what FromScratch can do:

- Quickly jump to the line you want;

- Insert interactive checkboxes;

- Delete whole strings;

- Scale text;

- Collapse blocks of text;

- Search and replace text;

- Set indents automatically.

As a nice little thing, there are two themes: dark and light. You can switch between them on the fly by clicking the appropriate combination. If you still miss the usual menu toolbar, pressing "Alt" will bring it up, but it doesn't have all of the editor's features.

On the one hand, this text editor takes some getting used to, and it takes some time to memorize the combinations. But if you do, it will be easy and convenient to work with it.
