LANcet Chat is a free chat for a small local network (up to 10-20 users). It does not require a dedicated server, just install it on all computers and start chatting immediately. The only restriction - all interlocutors must be in the same network segment, without routers between them. Allows you to send private messages. Can start automatically at Windows startup and stay in the system tray, notifying you of new messages with pop-ups and sounds. You can ignore individual interlocutors. There is a built-in "Anti-Boss" function: when you press Esc, the chat minimizes to the tray or erases all received and sent messages from the screen.
