MemPad

MemPad is a free program for Windows that records and stores text information in a structured form. Suitable for use as a personal knowledge base, personal diary, repository of interesting/useful information, etc.

The program interface is very simple and is available in 20 different languages, including Russian. Unicode encoding is supported.

Program capabilities

MemPad offers standard set of editing functions, including cutting, copying, pasting, undoing the last action, quick insertion of date/time, dragging and dropping text with your mouse. In addition, it works with links. And it can be web links as well as links to files/folders on a local network or to other pages in the program's database. It is also possible to use special environment variables in links to files in order to start other programs, for example.

As for storing information, the program uses a tree structure of pages. This structure is multi-level, that is, each page can have several levels of subpages. Thus information can be grouped and distributed in a database. The whole database is stored on disk in a single file.

MemPad has many useful features, including:
