MicKey

MicKey is a tiny standalone Windows utility designed to enable/disable your computer's microphone.

About the application

It does not require installation, just download the archive and run the application. Once launched, it will appear in the system tray. Click on the tray icon to bring up the main window. In this window you can enable/disable the microphone by pressing a button, or set a hotkey to perform this action. The key will be global, i.e. it will work on the whole system, regardless of the active application.

The MicKey window itself always remains on top of all others and is an indicator of the status of the microphone. If it gets in the way, you can always minimize it to the taskbar or the system tray.
