This is a cross-platform tool for working with MKV files. With it you can quickly create, modify and inspect video files in the Matroska format (MKV).
The program allows you to edit the audio tracks by adding new, removing or extracting old ones. You can also edit or delete subtitles. The resulting clips can be merged to create a single video file or split into several smaller files. When working with individual tracks, you can set unique titles, tags, timecodes and flags for each.
For video editing the program offers the ability to set the FPS (frame rate) and aspect ratio, as well as forced change the height and width of the frames. In addition to editing functions, MKVToolNix lets you convert existing DivX and AVI videos to MKV.
The program records all actions in a log, which can be saved to disk as a simple text file, and can also display a command line, the contents of which can be copied to the clipboard.
