Musical Palette - Melody Composing Tool

Musical Palette - Melody Composing Tool is a tool for creating melodies. The program is based on composition theory and harmony theory. A strong theoretical base makes the process of creating melodies much easier.

The main features of the program are:

1. The program implements 12 techniques for developing a motif. I will list some of them: variation, inversion, repetition, sequencing.
2. The program knows the basic triads and seventh chords of the harmony, as well as their conversions. Chords in the program are represented in four voices: soprano, alto, tenor, bass. The user can select not only the type of chord, but also its location.
3. The program knows the logic of the functional movement. That is, the program knows the rules by which chords can appear in a harmonic sequence. At each step, the user is offered a choice of only those chords that are appropriate at that point in the sequence.
4. The program knows the vocalization rules. These rules define how the sounds of one chord can transition to the sounds of another chord. The sound of a chord progression where these rules have been used will greatly improve compared to a progression without rules.
5. The program records the melody in its own file format, and also allows you to export the melody in midi (*.mid) format. The exported midi file consists of three tracks: melody, chords, bass. You can import this file into any sequencer or arranger to get a complete composition.
6. The program contains demo scripts that show how to use the program interface and demonstrate the basic principles of creating a melody.
