Papers, Please

Papers, Please is a game in which you will be the immigration inspector of Communist Arstotzky. You are tasked with controlling the flow of people trying to cross the border, weeding out terrorists, smugglers and other unwanted visitors trying to cross the border after a long war with a neighboring country.

Short Synopsis

The game is set in communist Arstotzka. The character finds himself as an immigration inspector at a checkpoint that has emerged after the end of a long war with neighboring Kolecia. You will have to carefully study the service instructions, which change from day to day. Based on these, you must check all arrivals and either allow or deny them to cross the borders. In some cases, trespassers must be arrested. Working hours are limited, so decisions must be made quickly. The situation is complicated by the fact that you need to pay for lodging and feed your family, and your salary depends on the number of visitors you check. Also, the number of mistakes is limited: depending on the situation, the player can be arrested for assisting an underground organization or for many different reasons.
