Photo Compressor

Photo Compressor is a program for compressing an image with the original .BMP format and saving it to a file. Compression results in a slight loss of quality, but allows you to reduce the file size by 3 to 5 times, depending on the smoothness of the color transitions in the image. Compression is based on replacing squares with smooth color transitions with gradient entries and reducing the resolution for color components.

Basic functions

1. Viewing the image in a window and displaying the compressed image with a left mouse click.
2. Saving/restoring the compressed image to/from the file(s) with the .ph extension
3. Grouping/ungrouping the .ph files when compressing or ungrouping them.
4. Setting the playback speed (frame rate).
5. Choice of optimization criteria: minimum file size or higher compressed image quality.
6. Creation of multithreaded .ph files for faster playback on multicore processors.
7. Displaying a list of possible parameters on startup without specifying a file.
