PixelHealer is a special utility with which you can try to remove a broken/dead pixel from your LCD or TFT monitor, laptop or tablet screen.
The utility uses a tried and tested concept that consists of frequent and long-lasting blinking of RGB colors in the problem area. This method can "revive" a dead pixel on the screen and save you from having to take the screen in for repair.
Run PixelHealer, point the "repair area" to the desired location and start flashing. It is recommended that you leave the utility running for a few minutes. A timer is provided for this purpose, which will close the program when the allotted time expires. If a broken pixel has not disappeared after the first time, repeat the procedure again.
The utility has a very simple interface. You can change the size and position of the repair area with mouse or coordinates. You can also select the frequency of blinking and the set of colors. The utility itself is available as an archive with a portable version that does not need to be installed.
You can download PixelHealer for Windows for free from freeSOFT.com.
