Punto Switcher

Punto Switcher is a useful tool for those who have to work a lot with texts: typing, correcting, editing. The program monitors the keyboard layout in the background mode, switches it and corrects typed text if the user mistakenly started typing in another language. Is used on different types of devices (computers, laptops, etc.) in Windows operating systems (versions 10 and up).

Working principle

The program analyzes typed characters, working with several dictionaries: usually a pair of "Russian-English", but in the settings you can add additional options from the installed layouts.

If the typed character sequence is atypical for the language the text is printed in, the program switches the input language, deletes the printed word and enters it again - with the appropriate keyboard layout.

Features of the Punto Switcher

• Manual correction of mistaken text - the last typed word or any selected fragment by pressing the hotkey (can be set in the settings, by default -Break).
• Change keyboard shortcuts for switching the layout manually.
• Choose programs, which do not use auto-switching and auto-correction.
• Change the selected fragment of Russian text with transliteration and vice versa;
• Replacing selected numbers with text, for example, "five kilograms" with "five kilograms".
• Preservation of brief templates for the autocorrection of frequently used words or word combinations. For example, replace "as" with "as". You can use this option to create templates to replace frequently occurring typos.
• Inserting copied text, with the option to pre-format.

Another important option for working with text in Punto Switcher was "Keeping a diary". All typed texts can be saved in the diary (automatically, with limits on the entry term or volume or without limits) or only selected or copied to the clipboard fragments (by pressing the hotkey). This is an additional guarantee of saving the necessary changes in the document in case of computer failure.

Besides, Punto Switcher checks if the words are spelled correctly in the selected language and informs about misprints, if this option is selected in the settings. Basic functions of the program can be accompanied by sound alerts, and the sound can be assigned by the user, as well as the hotkeys.

Language indicator, which is usually displayed in the system tray as a country flag, can be placed anywhere on the screen ("floating" indicator).

Punto Switcher also allows you to:

• Search for selected text fragments in Yandex, Yandex.Dictionary or Wikipedia - by pressing the assigned hotkey or via the menu opened by right-clicking the program shortcut in the system tray.
• Send suggestions by email to the program's developers regarding new character combinations for conversion.
• Tweet text snippets from any running application.
