PuTTY A freeware client for various remote access protocols, including SSH, Telnet, rlogin. It is also possible to work through the serial port.
PuTTY allows you to connect to and control a remote host (such as a server). PuTTY only implements the client side of the connection, the display side, while the work is done on the other side.
Originally developed for Microsoft Windows, but later ported to Unix. Ports for Mac OS and Mac OS X are in development. Third-party developers have released unofficial ports to other platforms such as Symbian OS cell phones and Windows Mobile communicators. The program is released under an MIT license.
