Description

PuTTYtel TELNET (TErminaL NETwork) is a network protocol for implementing a text-based interface over the network (in its modern form - using TCP transport). The name "telnet" also has some utilities that implement the client part of the protocol. The modern standard for the protocol is described in RFC 854. PuTTYtel is a client for telnet, which is part of PuTTY.
