Shade

Shade is a software product that allows you to place applications in a secure execution environment, isolated from the operating system, ensuring that your computer is protected against the intrusion of malicious content.

In addition, you can investigate the behavior of programs, for example, to see what files have been downloaded by that program from the Internet.

The program provides:

• Protects system files, registry and other important information.
• Safe browsing: a web browser running in the Shade virtual environment means that all malicious programs downloaded by the browser will be placed in an isolated environment and will not be able to perform their malicious functions.
• Enhanced privacy: History, cookies and temporary Internet files obtained while browsing the Web remain in an isolated environment.
• Safe Browsing Email: Viruses and other malware that may be lurking in your email cannot escape from your isolated environment and infect your system.
• "Purity" of the Windows Operating System: all downloads from the Internet take place in an isolated environment.

The program is a virtualization plugin (sandbox) running on Cybergenic's own platform. It does not depend on signature databases for threat detection. Instead, the system prevents virus code from initially entering the operating system (including brand new code for which no signatures have yet been released), while allowing the user to safely run and make full use of potentially dangerous applications, programs and files.

When creating the product special attention was paid to the ease of use of the product and preserving the computer's performance.
