Text Grab

Text Grab is a compact utility that makes any text on your computer screen available for copying and editing.

Copy and edit any text

Many users are faced with a situation where they need to copy or edit some text, but it is impossible to do so. The most common example is an image with text or a PDF document with copy protection. In this case, it is this utility that will rescue you. It uses optical text recognition and converts any text on the screen into editable characters.

Text Grab has two working modes. In the first mode the utility allows you to select an arbitrary area of the screen where there is text. Then the text from this area is automatically recognized and copied to the clipboard. From there it can be pasted into a document and edited.

The second mode works a little differently. It uses a frame and then you aim it over the area of text. The text will be recognized and put in blocks. These blocks can be selected by clicking or searching among them by entering a query. When you select the desired blocks, you can copy them to the buffer with one click.

The tool uses the built-in OCR system of Windows 10. It is designed for active use, so it is made as simple, fast and convenient as possible.
