Using the Microsoft Visio 2010 viewer, users can freely distribute Visio documents and layouts to group members, partners, customers, and others, even if the recipients do not have Visio installed on their computers. You can also print portions of displayed documents in Internet Explorer.
You can use Visio viewer to use Visio documents, diagrams, and illustrations in an Internet environment. It is especially useful for groups whose members need to work together from different locations.
To view a Visio document (with VSD, VSS, VST, VDX, VSX or VTX extension) just double-click it in Explorer. Internet Explorer will launch, and Visio Viewer will display the document in its window. You can then move and scale the image using the toolbar buttons, keyboard shortcuts, or context menu items. You can also view the properties of any shape by opening the Properties and Options dialog box and selecting the shape. Some visualization and display options are available in the Display Options tab of the Properties and Options dialog box. You can also set the visibility and colors of the drawing layer on the Layer Options tab, as well as the visibility and colors of the notes on the Corrections Options tab.
