Windows Photo Gallery is a program from Microsoft that allows you to easily view any photo and video files from your computer memory or removable media.
Using this program, you can view images as well as rotate them, resize them, change their name, as well as add captions, edit tags and geotags, change the time the picture was taken and much more. For easy viewing, you can filter files by tag, month, rating, and view them in slideshow mode. Windows Photo Gallery also has some image editing features. With it, you can reduce noise, adjust colors and exposure parameters, apply various filters and even manually set the quality of a JPEG file.
It will save a copy of the original files so you can edit them again if something goes wrong. After you finish editing, the program will let you upload your photos and videos to OneDrive, Facebook, YouTube, Flickr or Vimeo, or send them via email.
Note that this program is part of Windows Essentials 2012. It includes components such as Messenger, Movie Maker, Mail, Writer, OneDrive and Outlook Connector Pack. Unfortunately, Microsoft announced that it is no longer supporting this package, but you can still download it from freeSOFT, completely free of charge.
