Wubi is the official free Ubuntu Linux installer, designed to run on Windows family operating systems. With Wubi, Windows users can install and uninstall Ubuntu as an ordinary Windows program.
Wubi downloads a 700 megabyte system image file from the Internet by default, but also supports already downloaded CD images (DVD is not supported) if they are in the same directory and images mounted in a virtual optical drive.
