ZeRAT is a tiny program that can send mail (as text or HTML, with the possibility to attach files) via (E)SMTP and receive via POP3.
It also has the basic functions of a news client, allowing it to download/send messages via NNTP (Usenet conference). It can deliver mail directly to the user's mailbox, bypassing the ISP's mail server and has a built-in secure authorization mechanism (HMAC-MD5) for SMTP and POP3, SSL. Supports SOCKS PROXY. Supports all basic encodings and autodetection of encodings, which ensures readable messages in dialog mode of POP session. Can work in dialog mode, deleting mail from POP server without downloading it. Understands variables in email body and subject line. Does not require installation and does not write to the registry.
