Acer announced a super light and thin laptop

The famous company that produces laptops, announced the release Acer TravelMate X514-51. The device weighs less than a kilogram.

The notebook runs on the operating system Windows 10 Pro. It has already got the title of the lightest and thinest notebook of all the laptops available on the market today. The Acer TravelMate X514-51 weighs 980 grams with a thickness of 15 mm.

The laptop is made of magnesium-lithium and magnesium-aluminum alloys. At the same time, such variations are much lighter and, at the same time, stronger than aluminum.

The RAM of the laptop is 16 GB, the volume of SSD storage - up to 512 GB. The USB Type-C port is also worth mentioning, as well as two USB 3.0 Type-A ports and an HDMI connector. The new Acer TravelMate also has Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, a webcam, two speakers and a microphone.

The 4,670mAh battery lasts for 10 hours of continuous use. The keyboard is equipped with a backlight, so that typing in a dimly lit room will be quite comfortable. The touchpad is protected from damage and scratches by durable Gorilla Glass NBT.

The laptop uses a fingerprint scanner for activation. It is built into the power button. The Acer TravelMate X514-51 has password and key encryption protection - the Trusted Platform Module 2.0 provides hardware protection for passwords and encryption keys.

The device will be available for purchase in June. Its price will be $1,099.99.
