Firefox 63 for Android has gained Picture-in-Picture support

23 October 2018

The updated and improved version of the mobile browser Mozilla Firefox has been released. The version of the program under the number 63 brought several pleasant innovations and is already available for download.

Perhaps the most pleasant innovation was the introduction of the long-awaited Picture-in-Picture mode. This feature is only available on devices with Android 8.0 or newer. It allows you to bring any online video into a small floating window, so you can continue watching it even while you're working in other apps. In order to do this, you need to launch the video in full screen mode and click on the "Home" button. If necessary, you can return the video to the browser page simply by clicking on it.

In addition to this, the program started using notification channels, got separate settings for downloads, playback of multimedia content, as well as a number of other improvements, which everyone can familiarize themselves with. To do this, you only need to install the current version of Mozilla Firefox on your mobile device.
