The resource Droid-Life, citing some "reliable" sources, reported the imminent closure of the service Google Play Music. However, it will be replaced by the streaming platform YouTube Remix. The impending launch of the new service became known at the end of 2017. Then, there was information in the network that Google plans to launch its own analog of Spotify, which will have an improved system of recommendations and the ability to accompany music with clips. A little later, it became known about the conclusion of deals between the major record companies, Google and YouTube, allowing, among other things, to launch a new subscription-based music service. It is expected that the new service should surpass Google Play Music both in the number of content, and in usability and other parameters. Time will tell how users will react to the new service, but we don't know yet when exactly YouTube Remix will be launched. We only know that Google Play Music will be closed by the end of 2018. YouTube representatives assured that they will notify users about all the upcoming changes in advance.
