Google is preparing to launch a new music streaming service - YouTube Music. Soon, users from the U.S. and several other countries will be able to try it, after which the novelty will get to Russia.It is reported that the new product will appear as a result of the division of the paid service YouTube Red into two parts. One of them will be YouTube Music, and the other - paid YouTube Premium, subscribers to which will be available to original video content for $ 11.99 a month. In contrast to the latter, the music service will be available for free, but with advertising, for the deactivation of which will have to pay $ 9.99 a month. An interesting feature of the service will be an updated system of recommendations. It will take into account not only the history of the listened tracks, but also the time of day, and the location of the user. Thus, YouTube Music will help to choose the music for sports, rest or work. And thanks to the functions of artificial intelligence, integrated into the service, users will find it easier to find the song of interest, not only by title, but also by a general, even a very distant description. The new product from Google will also get its own, rethought mobile application, which will finally allow listening to music even with a locked device. In addition, a desktop player is expected to be released. It is worth adding that the Google Play Music service is not going anywhere yet. However, its subscribers will have access to YouTube Music Premium. The service will gradually appear in the U.S., Australia, Mexico, New Zealand and South Korea as early as Tuesday, May 22. Then, over the next few weeks, YouTube Music will launch in a number of other countries, including Russia.
