In April this year, the media reported on the readiness of VKontakte to cooperate with the National Bureau of Credit Histories, by transferring open data on users to check the accounts of borrowers. It seems that the leadership of the social network changed its decision. The relevant information was shared by the managing director of VKontakte - Andrew Rogozov. According to him, the possibility of cooperation with the NBKI was indeed considered. However, the parties failed to agree on a format that would not contradict the principles of the social network with regard to protection of user data. Thus, VKontakte has no plans to simplify access to open user data. In addition, the team of the social network will continue to fight against the unauthorized collection of such data both technically and legally.
