It seems that Huawei is preparing another pleasant surprise for users. As it became known recently, the Chinese giant is working on the creation of its own voice assistant.A relevant finding was shared by the users of the XDA forum. According to the information they published, in the files of Huawei's firm shell - EMUI, references to the voice assistant HiAssistant were found. There is not much information about the assistant, we only know that it will help manage any functions of the company's smartphones, as well as some third-party software. Moreover, HiAssistant will boast of integration with a number of popular Chinese online services. It is also known that the new assistant will only be available on smartphones with SoC HiSilicon Kirin 970 and later models, and will use the Neural Processing Unit (or NPU), designed to work with AI technologies and responsible for machine learning. This means that the assistant will have the ability to understand natural speech, or, in other words, will be able to take into account the peculiarities of the pronunciation or speech structure of the user. It is easy to guess that at first the assistant will only be available in Chinese. Nevertheless, we cannot exclude the possibility that in the future, it will speak other languages as well. And whether HiAssistant will be available in our country, we will find out only later.
