Many people probably remember that the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia obliged mobile operators to cancel roaming within our country, within two weeks. These requirements were issued back in July. Of course, none of the Big Four operators were able to do so in time, and representatives of MegaFon even filed a lawsuit against FAS in the Arbitration Court of Moscow, asking for the injunction to be declared illegal. It seems they have changed their mind and decided to establish a dialogue with the agency.Having abandoned the long litigation, MegaFon representatives turned to FAS with a request to postpone the execution of the order. The relevant application from one of the largest mobile operators in our country has already been filed with the FAS. It is worth to note that since the Big Four operators have not complied with the requirements of the FAS, the term of its implementation has been prolonged till December 15 of this year. Whether this time will be enough, or we will witness a loud trial, will be known in winter.
