Microsoft will launch Xbox Live for Android, iOS and Nintendo Switch consoles

Microsoft's plans for the development of the Xbox Live service became known ahead of time. The information was accidentally disclosed by company representatives when publishing a message about the content of the sessions at the GDC 2019 conference.

Thus, information about Microsoft's plans to release a new SDK, which will add support for Xbox Live in games for Android and iOS, as well as on Nintendo Switch consoles, leaked into the network. Despite the fact that some mobile games already have support for the service, we are still only talking about a small number of titles. All of them were released by Microsoft. The new SDK should help developers to implement a deep cross-platform support for Xbox Live. This, in turn, will allow users not only access to achievements, but also to play your favorite games in multiplayer mode, even with players on other platforms.

It is worth adding that the Game Developers Conference GDC 2019 will be held from March 18 to 22, 2019 in San Francisco. It is during these days, Microsoft will officially share its plans for the development of the service Xbox Live. At the same time, we can expect new details and information about the approximate timing of the project.
