The extraordinary smartphone from Nubia has a flexible screen. Not only that, it is not afraid of water. The manufacturer positions it as a "wearable phone". It is worn on the wrist and looks like a stylish bracelet.
According to representatives of the firm at the Barcelona MWC 2019 show, the new gadget is fully prepared to hit the broad market soon. Nubia Alpha, while maintaining the capabilities of the smartphone, got a lot of features for fitness.
The company talks about it being a "wearable phone." However, it is still more correct to say that it is a smart watch.
The device runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 platform - special for such devices. It is known that it is not new. Nubia Alpha has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of flash memory, a battery with a capacity of 500 mAh.
The screen of the gadget is four inches, the camera - 5 MP. In order to take a photo, it is enough just to touch it. Video can be taken if you press the display for a long time.
Nubia Alpha will hit the market in two variants - with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support, as well as a version with eSIM, 4G and texting.
Inside the flexible smartphone has its own OS, which works perfectly on these screens.
Alpha is protected against moisture. As in the "smart" watch, there are built-in sensors to monitor the heart rate, activity of the owner and his sleep. The model is available in black and gold colors, with the latter variant featuring real 18-karat gold.
Buy Nubia Alpha will be possible in mid-spring for 450 euros. Only the black version with Bluetooth will be available for sale at first.
The variant with eSIM on the market will appear later. The price will be about 550 and 6650 euros for the black and gold versions.
