A curious new product was announced by Team Group. Users are offered an external SSD. The name of the SSD is simple - PD1000.
What is the surprise of this gadget? Its main feature is water protection. The housing is made under the IP68 standard. It is not afraid of dust and moisture. You can even submerge PD1000 in a depth of one meter.
Also, the device is relatively rugged. This is guaranteed by the MIL-STD-810G certification. The design is made of aluminum alloy. Not bad for a product weighing 75 grams. As for the dimensions, they are 107 x 40 x 10,9 mm.
Itconnects to a PC via USB 3.2 Gen2. Writing speed reaches 900 MB / s, reading - 1000 MB / s. Speaking of capacity, it depends on the version.
The base PD1000 has a capacity of 512GB. The top version pleases with 1 TB of space. The bundle is also worth mentioning. It includes USB3.2 Type-C to Type-C and USB3.2 Type-A to Type-C cables.
Compatibility with the following operating systems is claimed:
- Android 5.0 and above;
- macOS 10.5 and later;
- Windows 10/8.1/8/7.
