Roskomnadzor continues its fight against Telegram, which is blocked in Russia. This time, the agency sent a letter to Apple with a demand to stop distributing the messenger through the App Store.Besides the demand to remove Telegram from the iOS app store, the agency insists on blocking its service push notifications to users from Russia. The letter also states that Apple is obliged to inform Roskomnadzor of its further actions aimed at resolving the issues raised as soon as possible. In case of non-cooperation, the agency did not exclude the possibility of taking measures that may disrupt the functioning of the App Store in Russia. Recall that the blocking of Telegram in Russia began on April 16, 2018. Attempts to block the messenger disrupted the work of Viber, the music service Spotify, the social network Odnoklassniki, as well as many other services.
