Now that Apple has introduced to the world the HomePod, a voice-activated speaker with Siri sitting inside, it is only a matter of time before its main competitor creates its own version of a home assistant. By the way, it is not the first such devices: Amazon Echo and Google Home have long occupied the market. The Wall Street Journal confirmed that the smart speaker Samsung will be responsible for the intelligent system named Bixby, which is a development of the company, comes pre-installed on the latest smartphones Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 + in South Korea, and should compete with Siri and Alexa from Amazon. No details about the new device is not known yet. However, what is known is that the device so far understands only the Korean language, and it will take some time to teach it other languages. According to a Samsung spokesman, the process requires much more time than expected, mainly due to the lack of ability to collect a large amount of relevant information. Originally the campaign was going to add English and Chinese support in May and June respectively, but they are apparently not ready to do so yet. Other tech giants like Microsoft and Alibaba are also developing their devices from this category in order to compete with Google and Amazon. So it is safe to say that smart speakers are becoming a trend in today's world, and they may soon become the center of the smart home ecosystem.
