Back at the beginning of the year there were rumors that the iPhone SE 2 smartphone could go on sale before the beginning of the summer. It seems that they were not far from the truth.
The Japanese resource MacOtakara, citing an anonymous manufacturer of smartphone cases, claims that Apple will introduce a new budget smartphone in May this year. Interestingly, on the market iPhone SE 2 can be released under another name.
It is reported that the smartphone will be equipped with the Apple A10 Fusion single-chip system, which is also used on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. In addition, the gadget will get a Touch ID fingerprint scanner and support for Apple Pay with NFC, but will lose the 3.5mm headphone jack. Otherwise, the device will get the same familiar design of the first-generation iPhone SE, without the notch at the top of the screen.
With some probability, the smartphone will get a glass back panel and support for wireless charging technology, but about 3D Touch can be forgotten. In any case, the gadget will be presented next month and the exact information will be available to all comers very soon.
