Older versions of Windows Phone lost support for notifications

20 February 2018
Unpleasant news for owners of mobile devices running Windows Phone. It seems that there is another reason to think about buying a new gadget - Microsoft has deprived its own mobile OS of support for several very useful features.First of all, the owners of mobile devices on Windows Phone will have to put up with the lack of notifications. As of today, February 20, 2018, Microsoft will stop supporting push notifications. In addition, users will stop receiving "live" tile updates. However, one of the main inconveniences will be the termination of support for the "Find my phone" function. This means that the convenient way to find a lost smartphone is over, and in such cases we will have to act the old-fashioned way. There is, however, a small caveat: all these inconveniences will have to endure only the owners of devices running Windows Phone 7.5 and Windows Phone 8.0. The fact is that these platforms have already reached the end of their support and the number of services available to them will gradually decrease. At the same time, users of devices running Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows 10 Mobile don't face these inconveniences. At least in the near future.
