One of the most popular messengers, Telegram, is again under threat of being blocked in our country. The fact is that the company's lawsuit against the Federal Security Service, in which representatives of "Telegram" demanded to cancel the decree on the disclosure of encryption keys, was recently rejected by the Supreme Court of Russia. At the same time, Roskomnadzor reminded about the need to fulfill the requirements of the law. The Telegram team has 15 days to fulfill the duties of the organizer of information distribution - namely, to issue the keys necessary to decrypt user messages. If they refuse to provide the relevant data to the FSB, the service will be blocked in Russia.Pavel Durov has already commented on the situation in his Twitter account. In his message, he made it clear that he does not intend to comply with the requirements of Roskomnadzor and "Telegram will continue to defend its freedom and privacy." At the same time, Telegram's legal service does not agree with the court's decision and intends to appeal against it. Recall that back on October 16, the Meshchansky District Magistrate Court of Moscow decided to impose a fine of 800,000 rubles on Telegram for refusing to give the FSB keys to decrypt messages of a group of users. Then, on December 12, the court dismissed the complaint of the messenger team and upheld the decision to impose a fine.
