Good news for Twitter users. The company's specialists have developed a light version of the official application for Android, which can work even in networks with low Internet access speeds. The application got the quite expected name Twitter lite. It is reported that its features correspond to the web application of the same name, launched in spring. Thus, it provides most of the already familiar features of Twitter, including the support of push-notifications, but does not allow switching between several accounts. Officially Twitter lite is available only in the Philippines, but such limitations rarely stopped anyone. According to the developers, the testing of the application in this country is due to the abundance of devices with a small amount of internal memory, as well as expensive Internet access at a fairly low speed. After the completion of testing, the application will be officially available worldwide. Users from the Philippines can already download Twitter Lite from Google Play. All other owners of Android gadgets also have the opportunity to try the novelty, but they need to get the installation file of the program from other sources.
