BlueJ was designed to support learning object-oriented programming, and therefore its design differs significantly from other development environments. The main screen shows the class structure of the application being developed graphically and the objects can be created and tested interactively. This interactivity, combined with a clear, simple user interface, makes it easy to experiment with the objects you develop.
