Brief description: The moment of inertia of a body rotating around its axis depends on how its mass is distributed relative to this axis. This relationship is investigated using a bar with two weights, which are placed symmetrically about the axis of rotation, a wooden disc, a wooden ball, and a hollow and a solid cylinder. The period of oscillations of the investigated bodies depends on the distribution of mass and the effective radius of the body.
