mp3Tag is a program for easy viewing and editing MP3, WMA, AAC, MPC, WAV, M4a, FLAC, APE, WV, OGG tags. It allows to change one or more tag fields for several files at once; to rename files by tag fields; to generate tags by using parts of file name/directory and getting them from CDDB/FreeDB music database; to keep song lyrics and photos in files; to delete unused MP3-tags; to use different skins; to play files in your favorite music program.

In mp3Tag there is a unique possibility: if you have in the tag song title and performer, you can find text of song in Internet and CD cover with one click and then save it. You don't have to do anything else. You can then play the song in Windows Media Player, which displays the lyrics and album art.

If you have a cell phone that plays MP3 files or an MP3 player, you need the unique feature of the program - transliteration of file names and tag fields. After all, we know that most such devices do not understand Russian words, so we have to replace Russian letters with English ones. For example, mp3Tag will make "Bumer" from "Boomer. Besides, the reverse operation is supported - substitution of Russian letters instead of English ones.
