The application is developed by the Japanese company SYSTEMAX, forms digital pictures and illustrations. This multifunctional graphic editor is used by 2D artists who draw in the style of anime and manga.

Paint Tool SAI allows you to cut, enlarge, smooth images with a maximum canvas size of 10,000 by 10,000 pixels. The toolbar contains pencils with three types of hardness and uses eight kinds of brushes, including dry brushes. Each tool in the application has its own settings for thickness, intensity and transparency. The program includes support for the graphic tablet and a data protection feature that helps you avoid errors during abnormal completion. High-precision composition with a 16-bit ARGB channel and transparency settings allow realistic color mixing. Paint Tool SAI has the ability to run fast thanks to Intel MMX technology and the program size up to 5 MB. Hotkeys facilitate operations with layers and are similar to Adobe Photoshop. The program saves the image document in its own SAI format. The application also works with graphic files: PSD, JPG, PNG.
