ScreenSnag is a compact utility for creating screenshots. It has a simple and user-friendly interface and flexible settings. It also allows you to take screenshots with a single keystroke or on a timer.
With ScreenSnag you can take screenshots of the whole screen, a selected area, the active window or individual window elements (menus, buttons, etc). You can add an outline of a specified thickness and color, add text labels, as well as turn on/off the cursor in the screenshot. The settings can be saved to a profile.
ScreenSnag supports JPG, PNG and BMP formats and allows you to save screenshots in any of them, with a specified quality level, open them in a third-party photo editor or send them via e-mail.
