Sodipodi is a Free Vector Graphics Editor, the predecessor of Inkscape. It is distributed under the GPL license. The main goal of Sodipodi is to create an easy-to-use vector graphics editor and drawing tool for artists. Although SVG format is its main format (including some extensions for metadata storage), it is not intended for full implementation of the SVG standard.
Sodipodi allows you to import and export data in simple SVG format and can also export bitmap graphics in PNG format. Sodipodi user interface is a Single document interface, similar to GIMP program interface.
