SOVA RS.

SOVA PC is an information security tool in an automated system (AS). SOVA PC™ monitors user activity, which includes collecting and analyzing information on how users and processes use the functions and objects of the monitored system. SOVA PC™ operates under Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP. All data obtained during the monitoring process is saved in an encrypted Log file.

The program runs in the background unnoticeable to the user and intercepts the following events:

• application launches;
• Switching between applications/windows. In addition, textual static and editable window elements are saved, such as
• window contents of most chat windows, such as ICQ, AIM, Yahoo, etc;
• The contents of the Internet browser window (Internet Explorer);
• Contents of e-mails viewed using Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Outlook Express, etc;
• typing on the keyboard;
• paste text from the clipboard;
• working with the file system;
• working with the system registry;
• Installing/uninstalling applications;
• installing programs to autorun;
• visiting Internet sites.

Each event has its own timestamp and is recorded in the log, which is converted into HTML format for later convenient viewing by Internet browser (recommended Internet Explorer version 4.0 or higher). The log can optionally be sent by e-mail to a specified address (or saved locally to a specified shared resource) for further viewing and analysis. An important advantage of the program is the ability to save logs to a special database and their subsequent analysis by setting search conditions. All settings of the program are gathered in a single Control Center. Changing settings does not require restarting your computer. Installation and configuration is quick and easy.
