Video Booth is a program with which you can take pictures and record videos using the most common webcam. The program supports most modern webcams connected via USB-port of the computer, as well as built-in laptop cameras.

Video Booth allows you to take pictures in two modes, normal (single) and sequential. In this mode, it takes four photos and makes a collage (2x2) of them. Before you take a photo or record a video, the program "counts" to 3 and blinks the screen, giving time to prepare. All the photos and clips it records are displayed in a ribbon at the bottom of the screen. From that feed, you can open them, export them to a file or post them to Facebook. In addition to photos, the program can record video clips with sound. Video quality is good, but it all depends on the webcam used.

The most important "feature" of Video Booth is the ability to superimpose various effects on photos and videos. It has a total of 36 effects that can be applied to both photos and videos. Effects are selected before you take a picture, so you can see the result immediately by clicking on the one you like. In addition to the usual static effects, the program has an interactive animated, such as falling snow. You can use these effects to make original and funny photos and video clips that you can then save on disk or post on Facebook.
