Annoying bug in iOS calls into question the privacy of iPhone correspondence

Many owners of modern smartphones can no longer imagine life without voice assistants. And this is not surprising, because such assistants make life much easier, thanks to an ever-growing number of features. However, their use is not always safe, which is proved once again by Apple's assistant - Siri. This time, due to an error of the developers, Siri allows access to user messages, without having to unlock his iPhone. To do this, all you have to do is ask the assistant to read the message after receiving it. Curiously enough, the messages from Apple Messages cannot be read in this way. On the other hand, Siri allows access to correspondence in third-party apps such as WhatsApp, Skype and Telegram. The bug is reportedly present in iOS 11.2.6 and iOS 11.3 beta. Apple has already been notified about the finding. And while the official fix has not yet been released, iPhone owners are advised to prohibit access to Siri from the lock screen of their device.
