It is reported that the YouTube Gaming portal will be closed soon, and the corresponding mobile application will exist until March 2019. According to the developers, since the launch of the gamer service, they have had time to test many new features, which will soon be transferred to the main YouTube. We are talking, for example, about superchat, game pages, which greatly facilitate the search of interesting videos, sponsorship subscriptions to support the creators of quality content, night mode, as well as a new platform for broadcasts based on player feedback.
Recall that Google's gamer service was launched in 2015. It was expected to become a full-fledged competitor to Twitch. Now the service will be transferred to the main service of YouTube in the section Gaming. There everyone will be able to watch live broadcasts from their favorite games, as well as the already beloved features from the service, which is retiring.
