Huawei is going to join the ranks of mobile computers. The brand's new model is the Matebook E 2019. Officially, the novelty will be presented in May. However, the laptop has already been shown at the Chinese exhibition.
The Matebook E 2019 is Huawei's first model that corresponds to the Connected PC concept. These are mobile computers that are constantly connected to the network. This idea is actively promoted by Qualcomm, so it is not surprising to see the Snapdragon 850 in Huawei's novelty. Inside the laptop is a Windows 10 operating system.
Matebook E 2019 is equipped with a 12-inch screen. The resolution is 2160 by 1440 pixels. The screen takes up just over 82% of the entire front panel area. The laptop has 4-8GB of RAM and 128-256GB of flash memory.
The laptop weighs relatively little - 690 grams. However, if you take into account the attached keyboard, the weight increases to 1 kg. The case of the Matebook E 2019 is 8.5 mm.
The keyboard has no built-in backlight, but it has an NFC module, so the data exchange with a smartphone is very fast due to the Huawei Share OneHop function.
The new laptop from Huawei has two loudspeakers and support for Dolby Atmos technology. The Matebook is charged with a 36.3Wh battery. If you charge it to full, the device will work for at least 20 hours without recharging.
The front camera in the laptop is 5 megapixels, the main camera is 13 megapixels. There are Wi-Fi and Bluetooth adapters, USB Type-C port, fingerprint scanner and a standard headphone jack.
You can use the network access via LTE modem, if you use a SIM-card in the device.
No word yet on how much the 2019 Matebook E will cost, but it certainly won't be budget-friendly.
