The head of Huawei's consumer division, Richard Yu, spoke about the company's intention to release a foldable smartphone. He shared the relevant information after the presentation of Mate 10, held in Munich last week.According to the representative of the Chinese company, the device is not ready for release yet, but there is already the first working prototype. At the moment, the manufacturer has encountered a problem with the presence of a small gap between the two screens of the smartphone. Such an imperfection, obviously, does not suit Huawei, but it will hardly take much time to fix. According to the forecasts of Richard Yu, the release of the gadget could take place in 2018. The main problem now facing the Chinese company is the need to develop new technology to create more flexible displays, as well as a better mechanical design. We can only hope that the introduction of all the necessary improvements will not affect the quality and power of the "stuffing", as well as not greatly increase the cost of the smartphone.
