Odnoklassniki to launch their own weekly cybersports tournaments

The social network Odnoklassniki has prepared a pleasant surprise for fans of computer games and, in particular, eSports. In the near future weekly online tournaments will be launched.It is reported that Odnoklassniki will hold tournaments on such popular games as Dota 2, PUBG, Hearthstone, Warface, FIFA and others. Together with the department of eSports Mail.Ru Group, representatives of the social network plan to create a special application for competitors. It will be designed for team building, registration, as well as tracking the results in the tournament table.It is expected that at first tournaments will be held only in one discipline, and later in several disciplines. At the same time, the first competition will take place before the end of 2017. Broadcasting of this event will be possible to see in Odnoklassniki, as well as in other video services and social networks. The expected prize fund will be from 100 thousand to 1 million rubles. Representatives of the social network are hoping to attract streamers, who will help in the coverage of events on other platforms, as well as sponsors, who will be able to present their advertising in the competition. According to representatives of the social network, the initiative to launch their own online cybersports tournaments is open-ended. In addition, in the future, the number of disciplines may be increased to 40-50.
